Le 20 novembre, pour les trans' du monde entier, c'est le Jour du Souvenir (TDOR : Transgender Day Of Remembrance - TDOR), en mémoire des victimes de la transphobie.

Elle avait 17 ans, elle a été assassinée le 3 octobre 2002. Après avoir été "outée" lors d'une soirée, les trois assassins l'ont traînée dans un garage, et après l'avoir frappée puis étranglée ont abandonné son corps à 250 kms du lieu du crime. Elle s'appelait Gwen Araujo.

Chaque jour nous, trans, transsexuelLEs et transgenres, sommes victimes d'agressions, d'humiliations, de stigmatisations, de discriminations. Nous avons été bruléEs, violéEs, mutiléEs, assassinéEs... Qui d'entre nous sera le ou la prochainE ? La transphobie existe et l'état ne fait rien !

Le rassemblement organisé par le GAT s'est déroulé place carrée (forum des halles) à 13h30 aujourd'hui.
Une cinquantaine de personnes présentes, dont le pastt, act-up, les panthères roses, le gat bien entendu.
Les prénoms des trans' assassinées en france ont été cités à haute voix par Pascale Ourbih à l'aide d'un mégaphone (voir la liste). Ensuite, un die-in géant et tractages.
Les citoyenNEs présentes se sont arrêtées en nombre pour parler et ont marqué une forte solidarité avec la situation des trans'.
Pour finir, nous avons rappelé en force que : état = transphobe, état = assassin.
Dispersion dans le calme pour cette action GAT à très forte visibilité des trans dans un lieu public et de forte concentration humaine du samedi après-midi.

L'action s'est très bien passée : pour cellui qui ne sont pas au courant il s'agissait d'un die-in géant sur la place carrée du forum des halles, donc un maximum de visbilité.
